Education, not advice
Education only. Not financial advice. Tamsar Global Ltd (trading as BudgetUp) is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.
What BudgetUp is
BudgetUp teaches how money works: budgeting, banking, student finance, renting, bills, work and tax, benefits, borrowing, credit, saving, pensions, insurance, investing basics, scams and more. It's general education, designed to help you understand your options and ask better questions.
What BudgetUp isn't
- It isn't financial advice. We don't know your full circumstances, and nothing on BudgetUp is a recommendation about what you personally should do.
- We never recommend products or providers. We don't name, rank or recommend any bank, lender, card, app, investment, fund, pension, ISA provider, cryptocurrency or broker. Games use fictional brands.
- We don't promote investments. We have no affiliate links and no sponsored products, and sponsors never appear inside learning content.
- It isn't tax, legal or debt advice. For debt, use a free debt advice service such as StepChange or National Debtline.
Investing, crypto, trading and gambling
We teach investing basics, such as diversification, fees, risk and time horizons, as education only, using fictional companies and funds. The value of investments can go down as well as up. Crypto, memecoins, leveraged trading, CFDs and gambling appear on BudgetUp only as warnings and scam awareness, never as skills to learn.
Accuracy
We use real UK figures for 2026/27, such as tax and National Insurance thresholds, student loan terms, benefit rules and tenancy deposit rules, checked against official sources and reviewed every April. Rules differ in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and they change. Examples are simplified to make them easier to learn from. Always check the current rules for your situation, for example on GOV.UK. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at [email protected].
AI coach
When available, our optional AI money coach for adults explains general concepts in the same way. It's designed not to give personal recommendations, and it can make mistakes. Don't rely on it for decisions.
