Questions you'll answer
Which question best cuts through hype?
Quick facts
- Only seeing posts from people who won → Survivorship bias. Losers don't post screenshots.
- 'I've lost so much, I can't stop now' → Sunk cost. Past losses shouldn't drive future decisions.
- Only watching videos that agree with you → Confirmation bias. Seeking evidence you're right, avoiding evidence you're wrong.
- 'Thousands of people joined, so it must be good' → Social proof. Crowds aren't proof.
- Myth: “Smart people don't fall for hype.” — Biases affect everyone. Knowing them helps — it doesn't make you immune.
- Fact: “Writing down WHY you're buying something before you do it can help.” — If the reason is 'vibes', you'll see it in black and white.
- Fact: “A 24-hour pause before any financial decision can beat FOMO.” — Hype hates waiting.
